IKF Promoter Pat John Mc Coole put on a top class night of Kickboxing action on Saturday night at the Sarsfields GAA club in Thurles and enjoyed a packed house of enthusiastic fight fans.
The headline fights were for two major IKF Titles and they proved to be worth the admission price alone as they were ablolute crackers and had the crowd on their feet throughout.
The first title fight was for the Official IKF All Ireland Ladies Bantamweight Kickboxing Crown and this was contested by Galways Whitney Huish and Joleen Riley from Thurles.
This was an intense battle between two very determined young ladies and it went the full championship distance with Huish taking the judges decision on this occasion but theres already talks of a rematch possibly in Galway in 2010.
